Scenes and Themes

What we mean by a scene

A scene sets the stage.

It defines the environment everything else builds on — a landscape, a room, or a stretch of sky. A scene shapes the light and space before anything else is added.

You can let a scene stand on its own, or return to it later and add lenses to change what appears within it.

Lens Designs

We refer to a design as the picture engraved into an acrylic lens.

The same design may be produced in different sizes or lens styles.

More details about lens types and styles are explained on the Lenses page.

Themes

Almost every lens design or scene can be described by one of three main themes.

Select a theme to explore designs in that category, or choose View All Designs to browse everything.

Scenes provide the setting. What you add — and how — is up to you.
